Required Skills

  • Software: structured editors, compilers, assemblers, linkers and debug tools
  • Hardware: emulators, programmers, bus monitors tools, oscilloscope and logic analyzers
  • Ability to use vector tools, CANoE, CANape
  • DOORs or equivalent requirements analysis equipment
  • Dspace, Mat / Lab Simulink, signal builder, HIL

  • Minimum (5) years experience in embedded system software design and circuit design
  • Automotive design background required, prefereably in climate control
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering; MSEE preferred
  • Excellent computer skills

Job Description

  • MUST be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire
  • Responsible for embedded systems software application / calibration for HVAC control units
  • Software design for HVAC control units (embedded systems and PC)
  • Responsible for analyzing customer requirement and writing software and system requirements, and reviewing with customer
  • Software
  • Climate control¬† algorithm development using Matlab / Targetlink tools
  • Knowledge of basic functional software modules: hardware drivers, analog / digital I / O, control algorithms, serial interfaces (J1939, CAN GMLAN, ISO9141, FNOS) and diagnostics
  • Develop and calibrate climate control units using calibration / monitoring tools like CANape
  • Knowledge of programming languages like C, C++, assembler
  • Develop software specifications along with customer
  • Cooperate closely with hardware design, test and manufacturing personnel
  • Perform road and wind tunnel tests with customers, as required
  • Present as project team representatives in customer meetings (traveling)
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team during development of product from concept to production in efficient and timely manner
  • Work with software testing group to give fast feedback on software issues
  • Ability to use vector tools, CANoE, CANape
  • ¬†Responsible for testing and integrating software application modules using signal builder
  • Field troubleshooting of software issues on vehicles
  • Knowledge of CMM or SPICE requirements
  • Provide support in acquisition of new projects
  • Strong communication skills and experience representing suppliers at the customer on software topics
  • Must be self-directed with the ability to interact with international teams
