Required Skills

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment; minimum of five (5) years in electronic components is required
  • Knowledge of ISO / IATF16949, VDA, and AIAG
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and development process, statistics and problem-solving methods (Six Sigma methodology preferred)
  • Knowledge of blueprints, project development, QA systems (APQP, PPAP)
  • Experience in the automotive industry
  • Good communication and presentation skills, including oral and written
  • Domestic and international travel required (up to 25%)

Job Description

  • Lead the task of defining the Quality Management plan and manufacturing test concept in alignment with the manufacturing plant in Mexico, new and existing projects
  • Responsible for the Quality Management System which includes maintaining ISO / TS certifications
  • Conduct internal and external audits for
  • Initialize new projects in line with our Product Development Plan (PDP) to ensure proper APQP planning
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers regarding all quality related topics during the project acquisition and project initialization phase
  • Conduct and coordinate the initial sample approval process with the customer
  • Prepare the preventive quality plan (APQP process, including quality plan and control plans)
  • Prepare and update all necessary quality reports as required by the customers
  • Address customer issues in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Support certification maintenance, coordination, facilitation, mandated for doing business with the automotive industry both internally and externally
  • Lead quality activities in new product development to avoid future risk using tools such as: APQP, DFMEA / EPD, PFMEA, test the tester, capability studies and gage R&R
  • Lead customer PPAP requirements
  • Coordinate quality rejections, analysis, 8D reporting and implementation of corrective / preventive actions
  • Handle quality rejections included but not limited to the acknowledgment, analysis, keeping of statistics for 0 miles plus field, coordination with the plant, customer, and headquarters
  • Prepare and maintain product quality documentation based on QMS specifications
  • Lead gauge calibration activity to ensure confidence in data obtained
  • Lead lab certification to ESD requirements
