Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related technical field (Will substitute experience for degree)
  • Minimum of five years of experience in business process analysis, application testing, application implementations and training, and change management is required
  • Business analyst processes such as those outlined and used in the International Institute of Business Analysis BABOK guide
  • Principles and practices of producing effective project documentation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and Project Management tools such as Project and documentation tools such as Visio
  • Understanding of complex, integrated systems, APIs, and web services
  • High-level understanding of application and database architecture
  • Software development practices
  • Demonstrate a high-level of knowledge in court-related processes is preferred

Job Description

  • Review, analyze and evaluate business systems and user needs
  • Document requirements and define scope and objectives to support overall Court strategies
  • Provide support to Court staff and act as an interface between stakeholders, facilitators, and partners
  • Facilitate design sessions with stakeholders to define the solution by documenting workflow processes and user stories using standard flowcharting tools and methods
  • Create, analyze, and validate detailed specifications and report them back to stakeholders
  • Translate business requirements into functional requirements and create business requirement documentation
  • Contribute to the development of project plans, and work closely with the Court of Appeals Information Systems leadership to implement projects
  • Deliver various elements of systems design, including data migration rules, business rules, wireframes, or other detailed deliverables
  • Hold regular stakeholder meetings to keep all interested parties updated on project progress
  • Define process for collecting and prioritizing change requests from stakeholders
  • Regularly assist software developers with interpreting and validating user specifications for both internal systems and our public website
  • Create and implement project-related standards and procedures
  • Develop comprehensive test cases and test plans
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and research solutions to support day-to-day operations and business processes
