Required Skills

  • STRONG VMware, windows server experience / skills in a multi-server high-paced environment
  • Ability to install, configure, and maintain server hardware, software and related infrastructure
  • Strong SAN Skills. Experience with Compellent SAN a plus
  • Advanced skills in MS Active Directory
  • Ability to build, support and maintain the network, servers, storage (virtual and physical)
  • Skills to maintain protection of data with backups, redundancy and disaster recovery solutions
  • Experience installing computers, network equipment, and peripherals
  • SQL query skills a plus
  • Enovia server maintenance of software / hardware experience a plus
  • Flexibility to work some evenings / weekends
  • 4-year degree in Computer Science, Business or equivalent field desired
  • 7 - 9 years of experience in network operations required
  • Knowledge of computer hardware, Voice and Data networking technologies, Windows, Microsoft Office, Google G Suite, or similar software and server and server technologies
  • Excellent problem identification and problem solving skills

Job Description

  • Maintain innovative efficient IT Systems (hardware and software) and policies that meet or exceed all external and internal customer requirements
  • Installs, configures, and maintains network equipment, and servers
  • Provides virus control, Email, and Voice / Data network support
  • Designs and supports server systems and supporting software
  • Installs, configures, and maintains CAD systems hardware and software
  • Provides support of data backup system
  • Provides CAD and associated software licensing tracking support
  • Provides technical services support and assistance to the user community for engineering databases, operating systems, PC desk support, voice and data networks, test lab software, and basic technology infrastructure
  • Serves as the help desk
  • Supports the Automotive Network Exchange (ANX), Checkpoint firewall, Sonicwall firewall
  • Ensures and documents ITS security; prepares security forms and controls access rights
  • Administers, maintains and provides initial contact support for the location help desk; documents and tracks requests, resolves requests whenever possible, and forwards unresolved requests to the respective department manager
  • Administers and maintains a basic supplies inventory need for the efficient operations of the location servers and workstations
