Required Skills

  • Expertise with C software
  • Expertise in writing low level embedded software including start up code, memory maps, and drivers for microcontroller peripherals and troubleshooting via In-Circuit Emulators
  • Expertise working with fixed / floating point microcontrollers (16+ bit) and reading ECU schematics
  • Expertise with low level embedded development tools (i.e. compilers, assemblers, linkers & debuggers) Experience with AUTOSAR and configuration tools (i.e. ISOLAR A, RTA-RTE, DaVinci etc.)
  • Experience with development and integration of embedded system Boot-loaders
  • Experience with ISO26262, Cyber security, and ASpice
  • Experience in CAN tools (i.e. CANape, CANoe, V-Flash, Vehicle Spy, etc.)
  • Experience with vehicle communication (i.e. CAN 2.0x, CAN FD, Flex Ray etc.) and diagnostic protocols (i.e. UDS, GMLAN, KWP 2000, etc.)

Job Description

  • The AUTOSAR software development including creation of software architecture from requirements, unit design and testing, integration and testing, and release of new products and product enhancements¬†
  • Projects are highly complex and original, requiring strategic direction, cross-disciplinary integration, and ingenuity of approach
  • Contributes to strategy development and develops guidelines and procedures for the software development
  • Serves as an AUTOSAR software lead for software product development projects; work in role of team lead with other supporting software engineers
  • Interfaces with customer representatives throughout the product development cycle to clarify functional and non-functional software requirements
  • Using the internal and external requirements and specification create the software architectural hierarchy including detailed unit design
  • Lead software DFMEA, design reviews and creation of design documents; Create and run unit tests and document results; debug and find solution to correct non-compliances
  • Lead software integration and integration testing; document results; debug and find solution to correct non-compliances
  • Creates and maintains a record of potential risks with the product design
  • Compiles reports and completes documentation to track and facilitate the product development process
