Required Skills

  • Must be available for minimum 2-month stints of shift rotations to support 24-hour operation
  • Associates Degree in Automotive Technology or equivalent experience (Transmission ASE cert is a plus)
  • Minimum 2-Year working level experience with Transmission Dynamometer Test Cells
  • Strong engine / transmission repair & electrical background with Hybrid Powertrains a plus
  • Strong evaluation & problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and any shift for a 24-hour testing environment
  • Measurement Equipment experience
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Office
  • Proficiency in reading, understanding, and interpreting blueprints and other technical data
  • Proficient in using measuring tools (i.e. Vernier calipers, Micrometers, Dial Indicators, etc.)
  • Works well independently without supervision
  • Flexible work hours and ability to work overtime including weekends
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, pull / push, lift up to 60 pounds
  • Welding and Fabrication experience to modify measurement set-up fixtures
  • Cad Experience (Solidworks, Catia, etc.)
  • Good driving record

Job Description

  • This position will initially start on 2nd shift (3pm-11:30pm)
  • Install, remove and repair hybrid units & automatic transmissions / engines in vehicles & dyno cells
  • Teardown, build up, inspect and modify internal parts of automatic and hybrid transmissions
  • Support testing in Transmission / Hybrid Dynamometer test cells including data collection
  • Data Acquisition and instrumentation set-up / operation in vehicles & dyno test cells
  • Internal and external transmission parts measurements and pictures with report
  • Preparation of Noise and Vibration, Strength, and Telemetry equipment along with this testing
