Required Skills

  • Troubleshooting and repair of electrical or electronics in industrial automation systems
  • Possess strong troubleshooting and repair skills; Ability to read and understand technical drawings and other documentation necessary for proper troubleshooting, repair or installation of equipment (electrical and mechanical plans) 
  • Degree in electrical or electronics desired 
  • Minimum of 3 years of technical experience in industrial manufacturing or similar; varied electrical and mechanical background; PLC and robotic experience is a plus 
  • Have training as industrial mechanic (m/f), industrial electrician (m/f), mechatronics technician (m/f) or comparable qualification 
  • Understanding of basic mechanical systems; knowledgeable in the use of test equipment; ability to use electrical and mechanical tools 
  • Knowledge of PC and ability to use software applications and good computer skills in MS Office 

Job Description

  • Troubleshoot, repair, installations, and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatically controlled equipment and devices; maintain installation tools, test equipment, machine calibration 
  • Familiarity with TwinCat, PLC and NC Codes and Logics, and Machine Automation
  • Perform installation, start-up, commissioning, and testing of company equipment supplied to customer sites
  • Perform technical assistance during and after the warranty period, carry out training, and other after-sales services of company portfolios and solutions
  • Test and evaluate equipment performance at the customer plant based on technical, contractual, and safety specifications
  • Take on an active service role to generate new business for the company through professional recommendation
  • To be responsible for daily service maintenance in house and repair needs of the customer's equipment
  • Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers
  • Ensure ultimate internal and external customer satisfaction 
  • Provide support in training customers to maintain dispensing & metering equipment 
  • Reviewing task plans, drawings, and general installation schematics with installation crew before start-up and providing continual guidance throughout task duration
  • Maintain communication and documentation of services provided; Submit reports covering the status of the project; support all facets of spare parts and customer service group tasks
  • Experience with power tools and electrical test equipment (voltmeter, drills, screwdrivers, wrenches); In-house and on-site support for diagnostics, repair, and replacement of electrical control units and electronic devices of automation systems; Responsible for hands-on electrical installation including control cabinets and commissioning of a variety of heavy machinery
  • Possible 50-60hr work week
  • Possible weekend work 
  • Travel up to 75%
