Required Skills

  • Bachelor's Level Degree in Plastics / Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering, Technology Degree or similar
  • Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions
  • 2-5 Minimum Years of Experience with Injection Molding with presses ranging from 85-3200 tons
  • At least 2 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry
  • Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces
  • Master-root cause troubleshooting with problem solving
  • Experience with valve gate, hot runner systems, and scientific injection molding principals
  • Desire to be hands on and overcome challenges that arise daily
  • Quality System: Understand, apply, and meet all function-related Quality requirements
  • Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS): Understand, apply, and meet all function related EHS requirements
  • Product Safety: Understand, apply, and meet all function-related Product Safety requirements

Job Description

  • Motivate and provide direction to the Process Technicians ensuring appropriate directions, training, and evaluation
  • Develop and maintain the process standards in which all parts are manufactured 
  • Review production and operating records and resolves technical processing issues
  • Follow established action plans for processes out of range
  • Specify project management and buy-off of new equipment
  • Manage exploration of new materials and processes to achieve the best quality, process, and reliability
  • Motivate and train the mold setters, ensuring appropriate training and evaluation 
  • Verify and apply narrow ranges for optimum processes to meet customer expectations
  • Manage exploration of new materials and processes to achieve the best quality, process, and reliability
  • Compile data and analyze past and current information to assist in the preparation of the budget and reduce operational costs
  • Work with tool shops for all tool repairs and maintenance
  • Maintain documentation closely, following necessary timelines on specific projects
  • Enforce safety rules daily
