Required Skills

Job Description

  • Field Service Technician
  • Ideal candidate will live in or near Atlanta or Augusta, GA (although can live anywhere in state)
  • Supporting the surrounding area with travel in Georgia about 80% of the time and support in South Carolina as well
  • Sometimes being away for one or two weeks at a time
  • When not traveling the ideal candidate will work from the Georgia office
  • The mission is  to install, repair, modify, test and trouble shoot all of our clients products, past and present, both in the field and from the office, by phone or fax whenever or wherever the customer requests
  • Please consider this a 90% travel position
  • Analyze and repair equipment in the field with little or no line-up or technical support
  • Respond and eliminate customer emergencies in a rapid, efficient and professional manner
  • Conduct training seminars on various client products with engineers or skilled trade personnel
  • Advise customer on proper maintenance & relevant suggestions to improve line efficiencies
  • Update software and modify equipment whenever necessary
  • Travel to customer facilities including local, out-of-town and overseas for equipment installation and repair
  • Transport necessary spare parts to and from customer locations
  • Handle customer complaints in a courteous and understanding manner
  • Improve Company image by resolving customer situations with a rational and methodical approach
  • Train Service Trainees
  • Spindle validation
  • Support activities for the Service Manager
  • Work effectively under stressful conditions
  • Correct sequence of operations and offer suggestions to improve service manuals
