Job Description

  • Acts as strategic business partner to functional leaders of management, coaching, career development, disciplinary actions and employee relations
  • Manage the talent acquisition process internally and externally
  • Participates in employee onboarding and conducting new hire orientation
  • Oversee and manage talent management processes including performance management, succession planning and top talent identification
  • Lead training of the performance management process
  • Manages the HRIS system, including accurate payroll records and data entry
  • Counsel potential, current and previous employees on health and well-being benefits, compensation and corporate programs
  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures, assists in the development and implementation of policies, procedures and related documents as needed
  • Investigate, document and make recommendations to effectively resolve employee relations, ethics or compliance issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures or government law
  • Coordinate job bidding for all positions open in the plant, if applicable.  Includes interviewing, selection and job offers
  • Administers and tracks leaves of absence and attendance
  • Ensures employee records are in compliance with company and regulatory standards
  • Organizes employee engagement activities and wellness program initiatives
  • Conducts exit interviews and manage related off boarding procedures for departing employees
  • Administers unemployment inquiry and workers compensation claims
  • Conducts training and administers performance management for all employees
  • Responsible for labor relations including grievances, assisting with contract interpretation, assisting with contract negotiations, and provides daily coaching for managers
  • Manage Visa / PERM process for internal employees and new hires
  • Assists with Affirmative Action Planning and all required updates, reporting and documentation and ensuring all federal and state requirements are met
  • Complies with policies and procedures pertaining to the location, corporate, and customer standards such as TS16949 and ISO14001
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations; ensure federal and state posters are current and posted in locations
  • May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description
