Job Description

  • Establish standards for the electrical machine builds
  • Work well and to perform work efficiently and productively under possible unexpected situations
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal / relationship and motivational skills
  • Ability to plan, organize and implement to successfully drive continuous improvement
  • Abide by and observe all procedures, safety practices including the “Written Hazard Communications Program” and good housekeeping
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows XP or higher
  • Assist in recommending and / or establishing broad departmental guidelines, policies, procedures, goals and objectives and lead the department to meet them
  • Supervise and assist in establishing and accomplishing goals and objectives for the functions of Ma-chine Electrical Assembly
  • Take charge of assigned personnel, assign jobs, tasks, duties and responsibilities and follow up to ensure work is being done properly and efficiently and take appropriate corrective action with those employees who are not performing their jobs and assignments in a timely and proper manner
  • As part of this, ensure that floor leaders and mechanics are accepting the responsibility and accountability to effectively lead jobs for reduced hours, maximum efficiency and continuous improvement
  • Plan, organize and coordinate the work efforts on all projects
  • Teach, instruct and assist in the training of the assigned personnel in the skills and procedures necessary to improve overall performance and to complete assignments in a timely and proper manner
  • Manage and coordinate through the project crew leaders the processes of debugging equipment on company’s floor and at customer plant locations
  • Participate in the appropriate meetings to understand the upcoming project and the development of identifying key dates to accomplish project completion
  • Recommend to management when and how many people are needed to accomplish the “key dates”
  • Assist in the presenting of developed solutions to our customers
  • Ensure schedules are maintained
  • Assist in the floor layout for current and expected machinery systems
  • Ensure the Manufacturing Department is in compliance with government regulations (i.e. OSHA, Labor Law, etc.) and maintains acceptable housekeeping standards
  • Other duties as assigned
