Required Skills

  • Proficiency with computers and the MS Office Suite including Excel
  • Excellent, professional communication skills, both written and oral
  • Detailed, with excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure
  • Critical thinking / problem solving skills and the ability to work with others to ensure adherence to company policies/procedures The ability to safely lift heavy and / or cumbersome objects weighing 50+ lbs
  • Bending / stooping, walking, climbing stairs and ladders to store inventory
  • The ability to safely operate a forklift (certification provided as needed

Job Description

  • Accurately record new inventory items in pertinent company software system(s) and ensure distributed / used items are properly accounted for
  • Work with Purchasing Department as needed to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained
  • Physically deliver OR coordinate the delivery of required raw materials to   various production areas
  • Conduct regular inventory counts
  • Work with Management to plan for the introduction of new inventory items and the respective storage / space requirements, lead times, and other demands created by such introductions
  • Recommend process improvements for inventory maintenance as requested / needed
  • Enter pertinent data into Company cost accounting systems as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager / Company Management
