Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • 3+ years’ experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), Product Engineering for Silicon product verification and characterization for mixed-signal IC’s
  • Experience with test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, logic analyzer, audio measurement equ)
  • Experience leading new board / system-level products through different phases of life cycle
  • Manufacturing test and validation planning and reporting (Wafer Probe, ATE, & Board Levels)
  • Deep knowledge of CMOS fabrication processes
  • Data analysis (Statistical Process Controls, Design of Experiments)
  • Analytical ability to apply logical reasoning, test assumptions, observe results and make corrections
  • Knowledge of hardware and software interaction (e.g. familiar with embedded low level firmware and/or embedded operating systems and H / W)
  • DFx knowledge in electrical, thermal and mechanical components of system
  • Familiarity with automotive electronic requirements (QECQ-100, etc.) will be a plus
  • Experience in document and process control (PTC Integrity, Jira, or similar)
  • Knowledge in applicable interfaces such as LIN, CAN, FlexRay, Ethernet, USB
  • Configuration management and revision control tools (Git, SVN, Perforce, or similar)

Job Description

  • The Product Engineer job responsibilities includes working with internal project teams and ecosystem affiliates to develop product specifications / data sheets, product verification and test plans, silicon verification and characterization plans, bench testing plans and device compliance certification plans
  • Provide support of new product design efforts using the Product Development Process cradle to grave
  • They will also oversee collecting / analyzing characterization data (using statistical analysis tools), collecting and reviewing R&R data and writing final characterization reports
  • They will also oversee qualification testing (HTOL, ESD, Latch-up, etc.)
  • Facilitate all release-to-production activities and post production support to include product failure analysis / debug on RMA products, and driving test optimization and yield enhancement
  • Provides technical support to customers, suppliers and inside personnel
  • Coordinates product engineering activities with engineering team across multiple projects
  • Use DFMEA and other DVP&R APQP 8-D, Six-Sigma, techniques during the development process
