CMM Programmer - Zeiss w/Calypso – 2nd Shift
- Associates of
Science Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical / engineering
- Three (3) to five
(5) years of experience in component and systems inspection
- Working knowledge
of APQP, GD&T, Control Plans, FMEA, PPAP, and familiarity with the
requirements of TS and ISO17025 certification and reporting
- Understanding of
component Traceability requirements
- Minimum of two (2)
years of layout inspection
- Read and interpret
blueprints, drawings, and applicable specification
- Proficiency in CMM
programing and operation, dimensional metrology, measurement, inspection
methods, and calibration
- Ability to define
problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Complete multiple
tasks within established and changing deadlines
communication skills: verbal, written, presentation
interpersonal skills and the ability to work amongst cross-functional teams
- Excellent organizational
- Working knowledge
of Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, Power Point, Access; CALYPSO,
- Interfaces with
Quality, Engineering and Production to ensure inspection methods, processes and
systems and components are in accordance with customer requirements and the
- Programs and
operates CMM, 3D Scanning and various metrology equipment and devices (i.e.
CMM, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, verniers, comparators, gear
profile,contracer, Roundness & contamination tester machine).
- Performs basic
maintenance and calibration on inspection equipment; Collects, collates, and
reports data results in required formats
- Schedule / manage
workflow through the CMM and Quality Inspection areas.
- Supports risk
assessments (DFMEA), in-process inspection, and final component inspection.
- Perform CMM
inspection of component Fixtures, Gages, and Tooling as required.
calibrations of inspection, measuring, and test equipment with third-party
accredited vendors ensuring proper handling, storage, packaging, preservation,
certificates of calibration and maintains records of calibrations.
- Comply with CMM
program validation and gage suitability
- Train and assist
Production, Quality and Engineering personnel in the proper handling, use and
care of plant measurement devices and inspection equipment.
- Perform general
calibrations and preventative maintenance for quality inspection equipment
- Approves systems
and components for finished product and releasing for final shipping.
- Reports any
deviations, non-conformances, product, or in-process issues to Quality
- Follows safe work practices, complies with Safety policies and procedures, proper and safe use of equipment and tools, and identifies and reports unsafe working
