Required Skills

Job Description

  • Determines and recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promotes a high level of employee morale
  • Protects interests of employees and the company in accordance with company Human Resources policies and governmental laws and regulations
  • Responsible to recruit, hire, train, and develop¬†associates to stay ahead of launch activities and new technology installations
  • Responsible for all health, safety, and environmental programs at the plant
  • Drives a continuous mindset and culture of safety
  • Ensures professional development and feedback is provided to all management, staff and hourly associates
  • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources function (e.g., OSHA, EEO, ERISA, FLSA)
  • Directs the preparation of information requested or required for compliance
  • Monitors exposure of the Plant and approves all information submitted to external agencies
  • Conducts a continuing study of all Human Resources policies, programs, and practices to keep plant management informed of new developments
  • Keeps Plant Director and VP HR informed of significant problems that jeopardize the achievement of objectives, and those which are not being addressed adequately at the line management level
