Job Description

  • Leads development and continuous improvement projects with minimal supervision
  • Understands, leads and enforces safety / ergonomic requirements for assigned processes, enforcing
  • Active, hands-on troubleshooting and development of assigned processes, with focus on equipment configuration, process controls, tooling design, and gaging
  • Utilizes project management skills to plan and execute assigned projects; manage budget as required
  • Plans, implements, and tracks continuous improvement activities related assigned products, processes, and equipment
  • Maintains process integrity by developing and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines
  • Creates and manages engineering documents, including product and tooling blueprints, equipment setup documentation, and training material
  • Prepares equipment operators by conducting training; provides reference and support resources
  • Creates and manages Process Control Plans and PFMEA’s for assigned products
  • Develops manufacturing equipment purchase proposals and Scope of Work documentation
  • Monitors applicable new equipment installations and modifications
  • Assists manufacturing with general machine upkeep, scheduling, and indirect materials inventory levels (tooling and spare parts)
  • Communicates with all stakeholders, supervisors, engineers, skilled trades, etc. to meet customer needs
  • Protects organization value by keeping information confidential; cautioning others regarding potential breaches
  • Enforces adherence to policies and procedures including ISO14001, IATF16949, S4, Q4, 5S
  • All other duties as assigned
