  • Knowledge of automated machinery control circuitry including programmable controllers
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals

Job Description

  • Provide maintenance and repair support for all manufacturing and auxiliary equipment
  • Design and rebuild electrical sequence control circuitry
  • Develop and appropriate PC program for production machinery
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate heat controllers, power supplies, and temperature recorders
  • Problem-solve and repair electronic, numerically controlled servo and stepper motor controller / drive systems
  • Problem-solve and repair automated production machinery and electrical logic control circuits
  • Suggest and implement improvements to existing equipment
  • Identify probable failure causes of automated production machinery with Allen-Bradley PLC / SLC’s, DC Drives, AC Drives, and servo systems
  • Follow-up with corrective action to minimize downtime
  • Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical control systems
  • Work with the Preventative Maintenance program
  • Train others on the use, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment in an effort to alleviate downtime
  • Follow all established Safety Guidelines
  • Complete documentation of work orders, purchase orders, and reports as necessary
  • Occasionally function as back-up support for Mechanical Maintenance Technicians
  • Function as a member of Manufacturing, Engineering, 5S, SMED, Ergonomics, or Kaizan teams
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area
  • Must be flexible to work overtime and any shift as required
