  • Minimum of seven (7) years of server system experience, including strong technical knowledge and experience in: Windows Server, Linux, VMWare ESX and vCenter, Microsoft Azure
  • Windows Scripting languages with a focus on PowerShell
  • Active Director, Group Policy and DNS
  • Windows firewall and IPSec
  • Experience with server automation, including things like automating the server provisioning process
  • Experience with backup solutions, preferably with Veeam
  • Evidence of a strong breath of knowledge across technology disciplines
  • Evidence of strong communications skills, needed to collaborate, influence and persuade team members and management inside and outside of the department

Job Description

US CITIZEN AND CURRENT GREEN CARD APPLICANTS ONLY

  • Serve as a part of a team that oversees a variety of systems and technologies, including storage, server virtualization and server environments
  • Monitors server activity, performs upgrades of software and maintains hardware
  • This position will serve as a subject matter expert addressing technical questions and improving efficiency through compute / storage functions
  • This position will be tasked with automating the manual processes currently in place in order to create a consistent, repeatable process
  • Consults with business unit leaders to address future needs and provide infrastructure options
  • This position will operate autonomously and provide technical assistance to less experienced IT colleagues
  • The position will be a part of the Shared Services team
  • Develop, integrate, upgrade and maintain computer system technologies
  • Analyze existing processes and implement an automation framework
  • Automate existing processes performed by the server team
  • Educate other team members on the importance of system / server automation
  • Document technical requirements, develop and oversee project plans and implement change control procedures
  • Facilitate design sessions and participate in technical advisory roles, as required
  • Mentor associates and foster a learning and growth environment
  • Provide technical and procedural direction to the company for the actual implementation of the compute / storage used, as well as interface with internal users, development personnel and other IT technical staff
  • Configure and manage physical and virtualized Windows Server and Linux servers
  • Document and maintain material describing activity levels and possible next steps required for each server
  • Act as liaison for internal and external communications directly with departments as required
  • Design, implement and maintain a consistent backup and disaster recovery plan and ensure system security and data integrity
  • Build and maintain the servers required for development work, internal testing, customer testing and production environments
  • Maintain file version consistency across all development servers
  • Maintain access privileges and account groups as directed by development team
  • Ensure timely and effective delivery of hardware upgrades, system upgrades and new configurations
