Required Skills

  • Four year Engineering degree required; BSME preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and presentation skills
  • Experience working in a QS-9000/TS-16949 environment
  • Strong background in statistics a plus
  • Good computer skills required including MS Office
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to read and interpret metal rule
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

Job Description

  • This employee will be assigned responsibilities as suppliers’ and customers’ main quality interface
  • This includes managing assigned suppliers’ and customers’ satisfaction metrics while implementing successful corrective/preventive actions
  • Supplier / Customer quality contact for assigned production areas including Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR), Corrective Action (CAR), and Supplier Corrective Action (SCAR) resolution
  • Customer/Supplier Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) coordination and submittal/approval
  • Maintain successful quality relationships with supplier and customer through proactive activities and problem resolution.
  • Participate in cross-functional problem solving teams (CIP) and lead teams in quality improvement initiatives
  • Conduct/Lead designed experiments, capability study analysis, and Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
  • Aid in component and tooling/fixture design and improvement
  • Gaging, testing, and inspection of materials
  • Update quality documents on an as needed basis
  • This includes Process Flow, PFMEA, and Control Plan documents.
  • Conduct quality-related training of personnel
  • Provide direction to Quality Technicians as needed
  • Ability and willingness to travel 25%
