Required Skills

  • Degree in Science or Engineering
  • 4 - 6 years of previous experience with environmental compliance, preferably in a mining or chemical industry
  • 10% to 15% to plants and terminals, but the majority of the time will office out of our corporate location
  • This position reports directly to our Environmental Engineer

Job Description

  • Corporate Level Responsibilities
  • Collect data, quality check, and prepare following reports
  • State Annual Emission Inventory Reports
  • Federal Annual Greenhouse Gas reports
  • Annual Tier II Reports
  • Annual Toxic Release Inventory Reports
  • TSCA Chemical Data Reports
  • Monthly and annual water permit reports for NPDES permits
  • Provide full support for Federal, State, and Local environmental compliance
  • Review and analyze production and processing data
  • Train personnel on air and water permits, plans, issues, and regulations
  • Prepare and roll-out compliance plans (Greenhouse Gas, SWP3, Wastewater, and SPCC)
  • Provide support and research for major permitting actions
  • Provide support and guidance for inspections
  • Provide support for stack testing and reporting
  • Perform on-site environmental audits
  • Provide support and research for national industry association for rulemaking process
  • Data collection and reporting for 114 EPA request
  • Environmental due diligence for property acquisitions
  • Analyze and report on solids and water sampling
  • Perform Applicability Determinations for air, water, and waste regulations
  • Plant Level Responsibilities
  • Provide support for Title V permitting, tracking, and compliance
  • Perform quarterly groundwater sampling and analyze data
  • Develop and audit Lab QA / QC program for State lab accreditation
  • Provide support for wastewater and storm water compliance
  • Track and report groundwater usage to Groundwater Conservation District
  • Review CEMs data and provide DAS support
  • Prepare Mine Permits for quarries
  • Facilitate agency inspections
