  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management / Organizational Development, Education, Training or related field from an accredited four-year college or university
  • Certified Trainer or Certified Facilitator certificate is a plus
  • Prior supervisory experience is a plus
  • A minimum 5-7 years of human resources experience in a manufacturing environment is required; preferably in a generalist function
  • Demonstrated track record of creating training plans and developing & implementing impactful training modules is required
  • Previous experience with a Learning Management System (LMS) is preferred
  • Ability to handle projects with multiple work streams with proven success
  • Strong initiative and the ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to engage & influence at all levels in the organization is a must
  • Demonstrated past record of sound decision making is required
  • Must have broad, basic understanding of Federal and State employment laws
  • HRIS experience required, SAP experience preferred
  • HR certification a plus
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

Job Description

  • This position functions to support the Human Resources department in administering various human resource processes in support of meeting departmental goals
  • It is responsible for overseeing employee relations as well as collaborating with the functional departments to design and implement training for the local workforce
  • The overall goal is to ensure our employees are engaged in the company’s objectives and fully trained on the skills and competencies necessary for them to excel in their job
  • Employee Relations
  • •Serve as a liaison for all departments with regard to personnel issues
  • Handles employee relations issues, including conducting employee investigations, documenting results and recommending solutions
  • Manages paperwork and required communication with employees on Leaves of Absence (Family and Medical Leave, Short Term Disability, military & personal leave)
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance
  • Assure company policies and practices comply with the applicable provisions set forth in federal and state labor laws
  • Training & Development
  • Develop and maintain plant-wide training programs
  • Facilitate and / or coordinate all training activities
  • Supports the learning of employees from entry level to management level, including job specific training, and leadership development
  • Conducts an annual training needs analysis to determine training needs for the facility
  • Works with HR Manager to prioritize training needs and identify resources
  • Performs all aspects of training program management, including  collaborating with the various departments on program planning and design, identifying training resources, scheduling and associated communication, and assists with documenting and tracking training completion and effectiveness
  • Partners with manufacturing to establish a process to ensure that associates have been qualified on various work processes when hired or transferred to new jobs
  • Creates, develops, and maintains reporting tools, exams, surveys, materials, and records to assess training programs
  • Measures the effectiveness of training and organizational development programs
  • Departmental Support
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems
  • Assures that the company abides by applicable provisions of federal and state labor and employment laws
  • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed
  • Liaison with all personnel as appropriate with regards to human resource related activities; handles employee concerns, questions and / or issues
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and other applicable learning activities
  • Maintains all human resource information and records in company database
  • Ensure compliance with all related TS-16949 and ISO-14001 policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
