Required Skills

  • B.A. in general business, human resources
  • 2 – 3 years of human resources experiences to include recruiting, benefit administration, onboarding, etc.
  • General knowledge of employment law and practices
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Focused on accuracy and detail oriented
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Job Description

  • Maintain employee personnel files
  • Assist in the recruiting process to including posting positions for both non-exempt and exempt positions
  • Maintains all employee and applicant documentation as required by government agencies
  • Prepare offer letters and chance of employment letters
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all new hire paperwork
  • Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility and conducts period audits of Forms I-9
  • Assist with benefit administration to include, but not limited to:  processing new enrollments, life events, and terminations
  • Reconcile benefit invoices and submit for payment
  • Respond to benefit related questions and escalate as needed to broker
  • Lead company wellness initiatives
  • Conducts new hire orientation for all employees
  • Conduct exit interviews on all voluntary separations
  • Maintains organizational charts
  • Maintains HR metrics (turnover, time to hire, benefit participation, etc.)
  • Maintains and processes all unemployment claims and potential charges in a timely manner
  • Attend unemployment hearings as needed
  • Interacts with employees at all levels throughout the organization by phone and email
  • Assists Executives of the company as needed with travel, meeting organization, correspondence, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned
