Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B. S.) from four-year college or university

  • Six to eight years’ experience in a dedicated human resources position, in a corporate environment, with at least four years in a management / leadership role of human resources
  • Dedicated staff relations, performance management, succession planning, organizational structure, compensation, conducting investigations, labor law type of experience required
  • Ability to handle matters of confidentiality discreetly and work with leaders / employees on issues requiring varying degrees of sensitivity
  • Understanding of and successful execution of human resources principles, practices, and procedures
  • Demonstrated business acumen as it relates to transferring human resources goals and direction into human resources activities that drive change
  • Keen analytical ability demonstrated by the ability to analyze and respond to needs and to measure outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate, understand and respond to the needs of the customer
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with all organization levels
  • Healthcare experience is a plus

Job Description

  • The HRBP Manager is responsible to plan, organize, direct and manage the Human Resources functions within the company’s divisions and ensure assigned team of human resources direct reports meet expectations
  • Develops, implements and administers policies, programs and procedures in connection to strategy / planning of: policy and procedures, performance management, staff relations organizational alignment, acquisitions, etc.
  • Ensures team partners with corporate and divisional human resources to ensure the assigned Division leaders and employees are utilizing the dedicated HR centers of excellence as intended and effectively (ie, recruiting, benefits, payroll, organizational development and employee engagement)
  • Includes leading and coaching the HRBP staff, building and maintaining relationships with all levels of employees including senior and executive level management of the organization up to and including Presidents
  • Oversees, manages, and ensures the ongoing development of HR staff for all below outlined duties and responsibilities for yourself and assigned HR team
  • Develops and implements human resources strategy in support of needs, goals and objectives of organization and / or department through HRBP staff and / or yourself
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement, implements change / solutions to resolve discrepancies
  • Helps influence business decisions by analyzing and reviewing human resource implication of planned changes in management, policies, programs, etc.
  • Gains trust and traction for human resources programs as a credible and trusted advisor and subject matter expert
  • Understands, utilizes and enhances application of HRIS systems to meet business needs
  • Fully understand organizational structure, jobs, job content / requirements and compensation concepts
  • Provides guidance, counsel and problem-solving support to assigned HR staff, the company leaders and other HR co-workers for human resources and / or employee relations issues
  • Manages disciplinary action process including separations, performance management, and conflict resolution situations
  • Works to provide advice, ensure consistency of policy implementation and documentation and monitor practices to ensure compliance with the law
  • Participate in developing, implementing and administering the Employee Handbook
  • Develops departmental / team / personal measurements / metrics that support the accomplishment of the company strategic goals
  • Leads HR company compliance with all appropriate employment documentation, existing governmental and labor law, government reporting requirements including EE0-1 reporting, FMLA, ERISA, worker’s compensation, OSHA / MIOSHA, etc. by maintaining minimal company exposure to lawsuits
  • Coordinate with HR leaders on best practices for Performance Management program to ensure its effectiveness, compliance and equity throughout the company
  • Oversees approval of status change forms for assigned Divisions and HR staff that are submitted to payroll for processing
  • Encourages and promotes positive, consistent communication between employees and the company regarding policies, benefits, general employment entitlements, procedures, rights, and responsibilities
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
