Required Skills

  • Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit

  • Rich hands-on experience on J2EE stack of technologies and Object-oriented design patterns
  • Hands-on experience on software technologies and standards such Spring, Spring MVC, Apache Axis, AJAX, jQuery, aspect-oriented programming, SOAP, and REST based webservices
  • Hands-on experience on JBoss 6.0 or higher
  • Hands-on experience with Git, Eclipse and SoapUI
  • Experience in developing and supporting scalable, high-performing, and secure web service solutions
  • Self-motivated and capable of working in a dynamic environment
  • Experience with Linux O / S, PDF rendering, and digital signature is desirable
  • Hands-on experience with dynamic languages such as Groovy is desirable

Job Description

  • Direct hire opportunity for a Java Development Manager
  • We are looking for someone with broad development knowledge, and strong mentoring and leadership experience
  • The Java Development Manager will lead the development team to enhance our custom externally facing applications, web services, and internal administrative applications
  • Experienced with mentoring and providing guidance to Junior and Mid-Level Application Developers
  • Experienced at directing and coordinating activities of the Java Development team
  • Experienced at working with Product Owners to define technical requirements and prioritize development efforts
  • Experienced in working with QA, IT Operations, and Infrastructure teams to implement high quality enhancements to existing technical solution
  • Knowledgeable in, and can manage multiple standard SDLC (software development life cycles) for various application enhancements and system integrations, including Agile methodology
  • Experienced with supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, including:
  • Interviewing, hiring, and training new employees
  • Planning, assigning, and directing work of team
  • Appraising and formally evaluating performance
  • Addressing all complaints and resolving problems
  • Note: This position requires the manager to meet with customers and deliver technical solutions to sales and executive teams
